The top name brands in roofing shingles include GAF/ELK, Certainteed, and
Owens-Corning. GAF boasts they have the largest market share, Certainteed
claims to be the largest building producst company in the world, and
Owens-Corning claims to the most recognizable brand.
Types of Shingles
These and other brands are available. We do sell more GAF/ELK shingles than
the other brands combined. There are three types of asphalt shingles.
The most prevalent shingle installed on existing houses is the three-tab. Our most common shingle we sell is the Architectual Shingle. It costs a little more, but is longer lasting and looks better on your roof.
